# Create an Account

To access our data, you will need an **API key**.

You can get one by **creating a free account** at [app.forager.ai/sign-up](https://app.forager.ai/sign-up), clicking **[API](https://app.forager.ai/keys)**, and create a new key by clicking **create**.

You will also need to copy your **Account ID** that can be found in the **[My Account](https://app.forager.ai/profile)** page

This is your **secret API key**, so please **keep it private**.
We charge you credits based on usage associated with it. If you need a new API key, you can always generate one from the **[Forager Web App](https://app.forager.ai/keys)**.
